Orbit Arts at Cal Poly Social Work DL Intensive

Following-up on a presentation at Cal Poly in the fall, Orbit Arts Program Director Janessa Johnsrude was invited to lead a workshop that focused on theatre tools for trauma informed facilitation in carceral and community settings with current students in the DL Social Work program as part of their bi-annual intensive in January 2026. We are happy to be out in the community and engaging with students who are striving to make an impact. Our teaching practices have evolved over years of working together with participants in our program, and thanks to their input and collaboration, we are excited to offer and demonstrate ways that artistic and somatic practice can be transformational tools of healing and connection across many sectors. We are cheering on the social work students and the amazing work they are doing and will take on in the world!
